Privacy Policy — Aura PDF

Last Updated: May 5, 2026 Developer: NEXRAVEN INNOVATION Contact: contact@nexraven.net

1. Introduction

Aura PDF ("the App") is a local document utility that converts, merges, and processes PDF and image files entirely on your device. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the controls available to you.

By using Aura PDF, you agree to the practices described below. You can review and update your consent preferences at any time from Settings → Data & Privacy → Privacy Consent.

2. Our Core Privacy Principle

All document processing happens on your device. Your files are never uploaded to any server.

Whether you are online or offline, the conversion, merging, and pagination engines operate 100% locally. We have no access to your documents, their contents, or their filenames.

3. Information We Collect

3.1 Information We Do NOT Collect

3.2 Information We May Collect (Subject to Your Consent)

a) Anonymous Usage Analytics

If you grant Analytics consent, we collect anonymised, non-personal app-usage events, such as:

These events contain no filenames, no file contents, and no personally identifiable information (PII).

b) Crash & Error Reports

If you grant Crashlytics consent, we collect anonymised crash and error reports to help us diagnose and fix stability issues. Reports may include:

Crash reports never include filenames, document contents, or any user-identifiable information.

c) Anonymous Device Identifier

We assign each installation a randomly generated, opaque anonymous identifier. This identifier:

d) User Feedback

If you voluntarily submit feedback via Settings → About → Rate Us, the following data is recorded:

Feedback is entirely voluntary. No feedback is collected silently or without explicit user action.

4. Advertising

Aura PDF displays advertisements when the device is online.

Advertising data collection is governed by the Google User Messaging Platform (UMP) consent framework. In regulated regions (e.g. the EEA), you will be presented with a consent form that controls how Google may collect and use data for advertising purposes. You can review and update these preferences at any time from Settings → Data & Privacy → Privacy Consent.

Google's privacy policy governs any data they collect: https://policies.google.com/privacy

5. Your Privacy Consent Controls

On first launch, a Telemetry Consent screen is presented before you continue into the main app flow. You must make an explicit choice before proceeding — no consent is assumed.

You can review and update these preferences at any time from Settings → Data & Privacy → Privacy Consent.

Consent Flag Default What It Controls
Analytics ❌ Off Whether anonymised usage analytics may be collected and transmitted
Crashlytics ❌ Off Whether anonymised crash and error reports may be collected

Both flags default to off (denied). You choose via three explicit actions:

No option is required. You may reject all and use every feature of the app without restriction. Changing any flag takes effect immediately — no restart required.

In addition, if you are in a regulated region (e.g. the EEA), the Google User Messaging Platform (UMP) consent form will be presented to manage advertising-related data collection separately. This is handled by Google's SDK and is independent of the two telemetry toggles above.

6. Offline Mode & Data Suppression

Aura PDF monitors your network state continuously. When your device goes offline:

We ensure that any data shared with these services is anonymised and limited to what is strictly necessary.

Google may collect data through our advertising integration in accordance with their privacy policy. Advertising data collection is managed through the Google User Messaging Platform (UMP) consent framework in regulated regions.
